Here are some of my insights about it… Dimafixĭimafix was developed by the Spanish DIMA3D company and is intended to be used in the FDM 3D printers with a heatbed. Courtesy of, who first introduced it in Poland, we had the opportunity to test it. Recently, an interesting alternative in the form of a special glue in a spray, called Dimafix, hit the market. Depending on the type of the filament and how much printing is done on it, it is sufficient for several months or… a couple of weeks. BuildTak unfortunately has a limited lifespan – when tearing the printout off the surface of the sticker, it gets scratched and gradually wears out. As I tested most of the solutions available on the market, BuildTak proved to me most to my liking – a special sticker on build plates, which printouts are easy to attach to and to detach from (although there are exceptions, of course). Learn the basics and get some insider tips and tricks and become an expert with Memento software.Gluing the prints to the 3D printer’s build plate in the FDM technology is a very broad subject… There are many diverse solutions, including spreading ordinary glue on the plate, smearing it with an ABS and acetone solution (the so-called “ABS juice”), or using special perforated plates.

Come to this inspiring hands-on class and learn not only how to create high-quality assets from any reality capture, but most importantly, how to prepare and optimize them for publishing for AR/VR, film, game, web, or mobile use digital workflows or 3D printing. Memento software aims to simplify that process and thus make reality computing accessible to a variety of users. Creating useful and meaningful 3D models from reality, however, is quite a challenging and tedious process that is slow and requires expertise and use of multiple and expensive solutions. Scanners and cameras are becoming ubiquitous and they enable us to digitize the world around us.
